Coordinators Group:

Yogish: School teachers has to come up with brilliant ideas 💡 and discuss with our volunteers or work with us to implement those ideas to improve the school academics. Then  NGO or CSR’s or donors will be motivated to give more. One of the example is Obalappa’s school.

‪+91 7  ….: Oblappas school has several donors and support from many people. If u have money u can di anything

Yogish: There was no donors for his school initially. First he took initiative to bring more donors to his school by working with his staff and local people. Now more CSR groups are motivated to help his school to take it to next level.

‪+91 70  …..: Sir this is my concept too. See my all messages.

Yogish: Of course  encourage all school teachers to take local support first, which is sustainable. Then outside NGO’s will be attracted automatically.

Girish : Except morality and ethics……lets try address roots

All NGOs CSRs etc should finally provoke Government staff to improve schools

Money is not the shortage…… Government is v v rich…..it is focus commitment dedication which is missing at all levels

Dr Sandeep Nayak: 🙏🏽  True.

Girish : Teacher published yesterday in fb that 6 hours work on working days for her is v v heavy

Tescher said……….Huff 1 sem exams close aythu today bt now a days more wrk to teachrs rather children. Relaxation ge namm school makkalu ottige buguri aadida kshana. Vry funny.

I asked…..Excellent….. is it more than 8 hours per day ….please give data

She said…….Morning 10 to 4:30 Sr. 10:20 bell rings.

Girish : For my following answer there was no response

6.30 hours/day including lunch………….Every person is supposed to work 12 to 16 hours per day to take Government Schools to international standards, otherwise we are answerable to ourselves for closing of 3789 Schools and more……alva madam?

Above is just an example aste

Everyone wamts huge huge money with less less work!!!!! Including me

Yogish: 8:30 to 3:30 in USA. 7 hours a day including lunch time. Usually teachers come at 8am.

Girish : India huge huge population available and many no work…. so work per person should be less

Lets not change focus or topic  We should work hard keeping other focus away.Improvement of GS through Government utilizing CSR NGOs  utilizing core members time in each school

NGO Leelavathi: S

Sulochana added Must Shalini Vasu

Harish Kumar: GHPS  Bukkapatna.koratagere taluk.

179 students are here ,but all the toilet rooms are very typical.

91 7 ….: Ohhhh bad condition

Girish : Loss of adhering to standard procedures…… system collapse

We should correct the system…..it is possible

Gururaj Paramesha: I dont understand y school authorities r waiting for someone to come n help..its matter of communication it depends on how SDMC members local grama panchyathi members are made involved..Teachers plays very important role

Girish : We should help

Gururaj Paramesha: We need to empower students to get what they want..when one mallama who starved for 3days to get a toilet for their home y not.We empower students

Girish : Lets help in communication to start

Harish Kumar: Today Samudayadatha shala programme, iam the visitor to this school today,

Gururaj Paramesha: U didn’t understand my point…Excellent

Girish : We should help Lets help in communication to start

Clarity in above

Transparency in above

Team work

Implementation

Above five points are important

Shivaraj: First thing school teachers should approach team Panchayat and will Panchayat members and sfmc, mla , mp and try to approach and raise concern n follow up

Harish Kumar: Just I discussed with secretary of panchayuth,he told, no grant is there.

Girish : Teachers should never go from pillar to post ansutte

Shivaraj: Hauda sir in a school minimum 4 are there and student parents 4 and surrounding social workers 2 so total 10 can do wonders ….!!!! Why not trying !!!!???? No awareness at all please try teachers with this method u can do it ….

Haudau sir in a school minimum 4 teachers are there and student parents 4 and surrounding social workers 2 so total 10 can do wonders ….!!!! Why not trying !!!!???? No awareness at all please try teachers with this method u can do it ….

Gururaj Paramesha: Agree but can write a letter or signature campaign to education minister or governor or media or CM or President or PM will work..

I am sure above will work

Shivaraj: 👍👍

Gururaj Paramesha: If some1 is not listening then bring it to the notice of higher authorities..I am aure Public TV rangnath will try to help.Iam sure

Shivaraj: Harish sir  follow below : in a school minimum 4 teachers are there and student parents 4 and surrounding social workers 2 so total 10 can do wonders ….!!!! Why not trying !!!!???? No awareness at all please try teachers with this method u can do it ….

Gururaj Paramesha: We have to change our approach…. every child has a rights to get basic amenities in the school…Empower your school children now…build some leadership qualities and social responsibility in them. ..

Harish Kumar: Already media telecasted this, tahsildar visited, warned the Hm for this, but what should Hm do, here 6 teachers are working . Total  8 sections for I – VII. Each teacher is teaching 9+ subjects, they have shortage of time to teach, then how can they do all these,

Girish : I am 100% sure few Teachers wpuld had tried best

Concrete solutions needed

How Bantwala got above……we should study I agree, BEO reports

Today world hand washing day celebration at govt primary school Suribailu Bantwala, Mangalore …..one of the best school of the district, this school have 1000 arecaunat trees, water harvesting system, this govt school school providing drinking water facility to Panchayath and to 50 houses of this village   congrts sdmc president, school teachers …..

Can we copy Bantwal model. Local people involvement positively is a must

Education support Department should try this. Teachers definitely try best……but not their responsibility

Responsibility is society’s.Society consists of paid politicians too

Huge salary is given to many for fixing above.DS NMMO can play major role provided we have volunteers who can bring above together

Chaya Chandra Acharya: This is how our system is. Is shortage of water is there in that place.

Sure we find solutions On the way to Rotory Yelahanka now to present DS Concepts

Mr Mohammed Ghouse is joining for presentation

Gururaj Paramesha: Excellent All the Best

Girish: Slowly we gain confidence of available teams

Core Yogish: http://m.ndtv.com/mumbai-news/thane-call-centre-workers-pretended-to-be-irs-extorted-crores-from-americans-1470551 this is not related to education. Ethics plays a major role in doing business. What if international community brand India as scam center instead of call call center due to repeated scams like this. People are now scared to outsource the job. In fact few jobs are coming back to USA due to breach in agreement/trust, bad quality, delay in execution and cost increase etc

Girish: Morality and Ethics going down…….

Mohammed Ghouse: I will surely  try and attend .its tentative as of now .

Evengelists Group:

Yogish: <Media omitted>

Planning to make permanent circuit boards for all the small projects that I do. I think it’s cheaper to manufacture the pcb in India .

Kiran: Who will benefit? Fina year students for their projects ?

Enterprise usecases are more exciting if you would like to take it up

it could be a revenue stream as well 😇

Yogish: we can show all the projects instantly in schools.

Kiran: E.g. Use LDR to measure pattern of SKU consumption in retail stores.. do an analytics with this data on which day of the week, or which months, gender etc.. you can combine face recognition (Open CV is an open source which can do this or IBM Watson) if you are interested I can share more info

Leelavathi: When is our next workshop,r v going to have it

Yogish: I will write down and document the circuits and pcb as and when I do the projects using raspberry pi. I will try to contact few pcb vendors to get it done when I visit India

Kiran: We are conducting two workshops in Pune next week if any of your friends are in Pune please share the address with them

Gram-mangal NGO, Gandhi Bhavan ,  Next to Poona Blind Girls’ School,

Kothrud,

Pune – 411038, Date : 13th October, 9:30 to 12:30 Phone    : 020-25386687

15 Teachers and 20 students have confirmed so far

Creative Computing concept is gaining popularity in India now

Mohammed Ghouse: Good to know will

Pass on . Please let me know if you are planning  for a session in north karanataka

Yogish: Yes  👍 1 session in :

  1. North Karnataka
  2. Mangalore
  3. Mysore – as requested by Sharma sir

Mohammed Ghouse: I would be great if I get to know about tentative dates in north Karnataka so that I can ask some schools to join .

Kiran: Since we have committed for a session in October in Bangalore we will honor that commitment first. Please let me know who is available either as volunteer/participant for a workshop on 23rd Oct location will be Banashankari 3rd Stage. (South Bangalore)

Kiran: Yogish, you can inform the folks who have registered for october workshop about the workshop date as 23rd Oct 9:30 to 12:30

Sunday.

Yogish: Sure Kiran. I will update the date and Venue in our website . Full Address in Banashankari ?

Kiran: 703, 1st B Main, 2nd Phase , 7th Block, BSK 3rd Stg, Bangalore – 85

we will limit to 20 participants

Yogish: <Media omitted>

Kiran: I see Girish and you so net net 3 🙂

Yogish: Net is 5 excluding me and Girish

Mohammed Ghouse: Excluded me too

Kiran: Yes I can see 5 new entries

Ghouse I can extend to IoT usecases if you are interested

Yogish: I am sure Hemanth and Gururaj will participate again

Kiran: even for the people who have attended last time, I can take this up to next level more deeper sessions.I can get into video creation/translation Khan Academy etc..

Will ensure that every minute spent on sunday is worth 🙂

Mohammed Ghouse: It would be interesting . I’m sure others will agree.  please highlight topics or possibilities of IOT with govt schools.

Kiran: Sure Ghouse will do briefly here and more in the workshop

I take the attached IoT use case to govt schools whenever I go, I have done 7 workshops till now middle and high schools , received overwhelming response in each of them. It is about using PIR sensor (Passive Infra Red Sensor) and Raspberry Pi.

PIR sensor uses Gallium Nitride, you can explain about Gallium too (with dissolving spoon experiment) video available on internet

Then about what is Infra red rays.. which each of us emit why it is not visible to us but PIR sensor can detect it.. and how it reduces resistance thus increasing current flow

Then how Raspberry Pi is able to trap this change in Voltage

<Media omitted>

I can demonstrate how to build this yourself.. you don’t need any technical background to do this.

Here is the feedback from the children who saw this.. in Vishwanathapura (10 KMs from Devanahalli) it is on Doddaballapur road

Yogish: Do you have schematic diagram for this Kiran ?

Kiran: Simon monk has 🙂 In his book, I just used that to do it.

Yogish: Ok . I just completed the first part (PIR) Now I need to connect to relay and bulb. May be I will try during this weekend.

Kiran: You can extend this to forward the IP address so that you can access from anywhere is the world – I used the service from weaved.com which is free for 15 minutes per session. Which is more than enough to give demo

Weaved exposes SSH, VNC services which is very convenient. Entire 40 GPIO status is visible on your phone 📱 in a graphical windo which you can control

you can use the hotspot of your phone or iPad to connect Raspberry Pi to internet and thus forward the IP address. I could do this even in remote villages where 3G signal is there

Another interesting use case which children will like is mixing of colors using RGB LED.. you can technically produce 65 million shades of color in one RGG LED !! Which costs ₹ 20 ! Yesthis is also covered in Simon monk 📚 book again this can be controlled through internet

Yogish: Are you referring Simon monks Raspberry Pi cookbook?

Kiran: yes

Yogish: Which edition ?First edition or ?

Kiran: 2nd edition. It is there in both editions

Yogish: I don’t see the relay and bulb circuit in the first edition

Kiran: I will copy paste from my kindle edition

Yogish: Ok Thank you

Kiran: for weaved jut google it is not in the book

<Media omitted>

Krishnamurthy: Oh no..I am away to Delhi from 13th to 29th , is the date 23rd is already freezed ?

Kiran: Sir you can come to my house any time since you are just 4 Kms away

Yogish: Weaved is interesting . I need to try this soon. Connecting through vnc at office did not work for me. It connects only at home wifi because both are on the same wifi .

Krishnamurthy: I was planning to volunteer with you for this event

Kiran: would you like to do one in Delhi ? I can train you before your trip.

Yes it is exciting you can sit in North America and control Guru’s Raspberry Pi 😉

Which is across the Globe.. in BLR

Krishnamurthy: First let me cover  locally

Gururaj Paramesha: 😀😀👆🏼

<Media omitted>

Kiran: Cool 😎 so next workshop will be lead by Guru

Gururaj Paramesha: Why not.. reading simon monks initial chapters..for me basics are important…

Today we showed demo to RV Engineering Students how a Datacenter Server looks like many were excited and also i spoke to them about out Raspberry Pi Workshop for Govt School Children.. many were excited currently for them exams are going so they can become future Volunteers for these workshops

Mohammed Ghouse: Data centre server looks ? Please tell me more

Gururaj Paramesha: Sir just google for HP Datacenter solutions you will find all the details

Mohammed Ghouse: Oh ! Okay I thought some kind of workshop like our raspberry

Gururaj Paramesha: No sir..

‪+91 7 …..: 👍🏽

Gururaj Paramesha: NOOBS is an easy operating system installer which contains Raspbian. It also provides a selection of alternative operating systems which are then downloaded from the internet and installed.
