Coordinators Group:

Hemanth Sharma: Can we talk first our action plan? We will see how we can accomplish this task?

Yogish: Hi, we have 90days boot camp, were we give the training for 10th & 12th drop out students, not only for them the ladies r guys who has less confidence level we give training on 1. Basic computers 2. Spoken english 3. Retail sales management 4. bpo 5. Ethic and responsibilities 6. Life skills and etc… after 3 months of the training we place them for the job too.

๐Ÿ‘†From Safina ๐Ÿ‘†

Rajesh: We can help Safina with our expertise in some of the content they are into. It will be sharing from both sides and strengthen the association

Yogish: Does anyone know the genuine scholarship program from company or from NGO or govt for the students who completed 12th grade and joined engineering and medicine ?

Chaya Chandra Acharya: Sir, I know Infosys foundation helps in this. One of the girl from orphanage has been given scholarship . i do not know theย  complete details

Yogish: Thank you Chaya madam

Yogish: ๐Ÿ‘†Sent by Shyam ๐Ÿ‘†. Please make use of this

Chaya Chandra Acharya: Good idea

Girish Mudigere: Rajesh: Happi Morning. Best way is to connect through HR head (Usually they head the CSR in small companies).

  1. Get hold of CSR Conclave organisers.
  2. Corporate Affairs Ministry has all CSR head list.

Little search & Research is required.

  1. Usually I have come across that people will not share CSR numbers (if their organisation is getting benefit from them, truth alas a mental blockage to break)

Yogish: I just want to double check if any of our teachers or volunteers visit our web site mangalorelink.com/school to refer ?.

Rajesh: Would join. Keep me informed

Great idea. How about Webinar or Skype oriented Training from them. An hour a day….

I will check with them today if they can arrange such kind of programs

Does anyone know the genuine scholarship program from company or from NGO or govt for the students who completed 12th grade and joined engineering and medicine ?

How much (%) tax exemption you get in India if a company or individual donate to money or materials ?

Rajesh: Exemption is given if the organisation to which we give has tax emotion certificate, section 80C, and think for Foreign fund 50% of amount in tax payable

I think it is section 80G, up to 50% of the amount donated qualifies for tax exemption

Rajesh: Yes

Yogish: If my AGI is 50 lakh per annum, I can donate up to 10% of my AGI to charitable institute. That means i can donate a maximum of 5 lakh. So 50% of 5 lakh qualifies for tax exemption. I mean only 2.5 lakh qualifies for tax exemption

Please let me know above understanding is correct or not.

Now how do they deduct this 2.5 lakh for tax calculation?.

Do they deduct from the gross earning or deduct from my taxable income or deduct from the tax I owe ?ย Thanks

I got anย  answer now. You are allowed to deduct 50% of the donation from the gross income.

For example you donated 1 lakh when your yearly income is 3 lakh. Income tax dept willย  allow only 10% of your gross, which Rs 30000 to deduct from your yearly income of 3 lakhย  (not 50% of your donation). So your taxable income will come down from 3 lakh to 2.7lakh after deducting donation. You will reduce the tax only by 3000 if you donate. Don’t forget that you are donating 30K.

Above is just for education purpose. Please don’t take it serious.

I think govt should allow 100% deduction up to a max of 20% of your annual income, especially for education and healthcare donation.

Kollegala Sharma: It depends in organisations which receive donation. Donations to induviduals brings no tax benefit other than good will and good feeling. Donations to NGOs/parties/trusts registered for full tax benefits can help. I do this through NGOs. I prescribe specific purpose for donation, transfer to NGO, and buy goods to donate. The NGO is happy to lend help in return to a mention. But not all NGOs help like this.

Kalgudi Naveen: Yes Kollegala sharma is right. If receiving org has registered under 80g, it is some percentage and if it is registered under sec 35 of it act it is different. It can go upto 100%.

Yogish: I would like to know more about sec 35. Please send me more info to my inbox

Girish Mudigere: Are we going out of Schools discussion…… But it seems ok as we focus on helping GS through above

Kalgudi Naveen: https://googleweblight.com/?lite_url=https://indiankanoon.org/doc/789170/&ei=W5u74aJc&lc=en-IN&s=1&m=411&host=www.google.co.in&ts=1475119253&sig=AKOVD66VVYENmggiHzU-MNAa1G8bsw28Gg

Yogish: No Girish . I asked to send info to my inbox

Girish Mudigere: Lets focus solutions… Good points it appears

Yogish: Thank you Naveen. I forwarded the info to Socio Active team.

Kalgudi Naveen: ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’ I will discuss with an auditor and revert with more info. Thanks

Chaya Chandra Acharya: Good info abt tax

Yogish: My point is to give some benefit to donors too by registering under section 80G or section 35. If donor is ready to donate 30K he will save 3K under section 80G (if tax slab is 10%) That saving too can be passed to charitable organization if it is registered. That way charitable organization will receive 3K moreย  just because it is registered under income tax act. Otherwise only Rs 30K.

I understand that we have no plans to register as we don’t take any money or material. This discussion is not relevant here. Just giving some insights.

Girish Mudigere: This project is not limited to one country please

Government Schools project have no boundaries

Evengelists Group:

Kiran: Dhanvin Excellent work !

Yogish: Very Good Dhanvinย  ๐Ÿ‘

How about the animationย  from others ?.

Gururaj, where is your scratch project ?.

Girish Mudigere: ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ™

Gururaj Paramesha: Yogish not well from last evening will do it today..

Girish Mudigere: Health first

Girish Mudigere: ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ™

Yogish: Now Hemanth, Gururaj and Radhamma teacher are in our front line. I am sure Sharma sir will take the lead position soon ๐Ÿ‘. Keep up the good work

Kiran: also Krishnamurthy, he had done it on 24th itself he needs to just upload. Sir let me know if you need any help. Dhanvin is our youngest volunteer leading from the front with French skills ๐Ÿ™‚

Krishnamurthy: Sir was extremely busy with my office work , will do it.. shorty

Yogish: Good progress !

Kiran: Rajeev, try a use case from simple Maths teaching and upload so that we all get the idea about power of scratch

Yogish: Hemanth

Dhanvin

Gururaj

Krishnamurthy

6 more please

Kiran: yesterday Guru was telling me that folks are using scratch for teaching Robotics (update from his Teaching conference)

Yogish: I can upload few scratch projects, but I am mainly studying Python and some hardware projects

Kiran: if you get an usecase which will help primary and middle school teaching it will help

Yogish: How about creating few math classes using scratches ?

How to calculateย  area , perimeter etc

Kiran: excellent idea !Folks who are familiar with Powerpoint, whatever you can do in power point it can be reproduced using Scratch..

Mudigere: Excellent team work forming…..and proceeding

Yogish: Can I import PowerPoint files in to scratch ?

Kiran: you can export slides as JPGs in PPT and you can import them to Scratch (crude but that is what it is ๐Ÿ™‚ )

Krishnamurthy: Similar analogy can we apply for higher maths?

I mean integration & differentiation as many find it difficult to understand following state syllabus in schools

Kiran: yes Krishnamurthy, where there is a will there is way ๐Ÿ™‚

let’s be cautious Scratch will not solve all the problems.

Yogish: Let’s start from simple. Area of the square and rectangle in scratch

Kiran: we have better tools to do this integration and differentiation like Khan Academy, I can conduct one session on how to do it with affordable tech

Krishnamurthy: Wow that would greatly help the high school students in understanding the concepts

Gururaj Paramesha: How about your name.?

Kiran: Sure ! can we plan one session in October for that (expand the scope of 2nd workshop of Creative computing) ?

Those with ipad, try this app Educreations.this is free and excellent tool, you can create a video as you speak.. no editing create as you go.. no prior knowledge required

this cell image is taken from wikimedia, which is Royalty free for non commercial use (creative commons)

Hemanth Sharma: ๐Ÿ‘I too believe we should use whatever is already available than recreating in scratch. Objective is to give people computing tool not a only tool. Yes how to convert scratch project to video

Yogish: 1. We can take bunch of KhanAcademy classes compile or organize as perย  our state syllabus and then teach that one in class room

  1. Create your own narration and your own drawings etc using your math knowledge. We can use education online tool for this. Unfortunately it’s simple tool. There is no readily available shapes or formulas etc. No grids to draw shapes. Tough to draw without grids
  2. Create online animations using scratch or codehs . My daughter is using codehs in highschool. She is learning Java using codehs.

Gururaj Paramesha: Guyz tell me how to upload offline scratch project.?

Yogish: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=faZ9vcNXRa0 don’t laugh at my Tulu script writing class. This was created few months back. It was little tough to write the script using mouse. Later I bough Wacom to write using pen, but did not practice. I recorded using quick player by opening online drawing tool. Created few Tulu videos like this.

Gururaj Paramesha: .?
